Blissful Breathwork · 1:1 with Kaja
Your breath is your life
When you first came into the world, your life began with your first breath. When you leave this world one day, your last breath accompanies you. Between the two, your breath carries you through your whole life.
The way we breathe is connected with the way we experience life. Breathwork means consciously changing the breath and using it as a holistic tool. It can open a deeper connection to yourself.
Breathwork can give you space to notice feelings and explore familiar patterns of thought and response. What has grown within you through experiences and life circumstances may gently come into awareness.
A Breathwork session is a special experience and a deeply personal journey. It may open new perspectives on yourself and your relationships; how you experience it is as individual as your path.
I invite you to begin this journey with your oldest and most familiar companion: your breath.
The power of your breath
Your breath is your most faithful companion. It gives you life and can also offer a way to find steadiness within yourself.
Life is a constant flow. Situations and people come and go; the world changes. Your breath stays with you.
When the world seems to turn too quickly, or you notice yourself searching for happiness mainly outside yourself, your breath can invite you to return to yourself. Here, space may open for calm, connection and contentment from within.
Because breathing is so natural, we can easily overlook its power. It has accompanied us since our first breath. Bringing awareness to it and turning inward can be a special experience.
I invite you to explore this source in a personally guided Breathwork session with me.
Frequently asked questions
-
Breathing practices have a long history. In the Indian yoga tradition, they are known as Pranayama. In the West, more intensive breathwork became known through approaches including Stanislav Grof’s Holotropic Breathwork and Leonard Orr’s Rebirthing.
In Conscious Connected Breathing, or CCB, the inhalation and exhalation are consciously connected. Body sensations, feelings and perception can change. Some people experience unusual or trance-like states of awareness.
More intensive breathing changes lung ventilation and can lead to hyperventilation. For this reason, I guide this breathwork personally and we clarify beforehand whether it suits your current situation. Experiences, thoughts and feelings may become more noticeable; what you experience is individual.
-
You do not need previous experience with Breathwork or meditation. We begin with an invitation to relaxed breathing. Then inhalation and exhalation are connected, without deliberately holding the breath between breaths. Depending on the session and your situation, I may guide more intensive breathing.
You can imagine your breath moving like a wave through your abdomen and chest. My voice accompanies you. Together, we attend to what you notice, and you can tell me what you need at any time.
-
Depending on the event, a group session lasts around two to three hours. An individual session lasts around two hours: an introductory conversation of ten to fifteen minutes, the breathing journey and a closing integration phase of around fifteen minutes.
You lie on a yoga mat and I guide and accompany you throughout. In this framework, the breathing journey itself usually lasts sixty to ninety minutes. Music, my voice and breathing guidance accompany you. Touch is used only when it feels right for you and you consent.
We begin with a welcome and introduction. Afterwards, if you wish, you can share aspects of your experience and return to your original question or intention. This voluntary sharing may help you make sense of physical, emotional and mental experiences.
In the following days, you can notice how you feel and what you wish to take into everyday life. You are welcome to contact me with questions.
-
Avoid a heavy meal in the two to three hours before the session if possible. Wear comfortable clothes, bring water and, if you wish, your own blanket for the resting phase.
You may bring a personal question or intention. You are welcome on a challenging day too; in our introductory conversation, we explore your current state and an appropriate framework.
-
Participation is for adults and is clarified individually beforehand. If you have health questions, please first speak with your treating doctor.
Under the conditions of this offering, participation is excluded in cases of serious illness, physical injury, pregnancy, epilepsy or the use of potent medication. Sufficient mental, emotional and physical stability is required. Breathwork does not replace medical or psychotherapeutic treatment.
More intensive breathwork can bring up distressing sensations and is not suitable for everyone.
-
In an individual session, I can give more attention to your personal questions and process. A group offers a different experience through shared participation and can be a first encounter with Breathwork.
In a 1:1 session, your questions and wishes are central. Together, we discuss whether a single session or a series of sessions fits you, depending on your questions, needs and current situation.
My journey as a Breathwork facilitator
I trained with Daniel Alan, founder of “The Art of Breath”. Through his travels, he has explored the philosophy of breath and gathered inspiration from different traditions and cultures for his awareness and breathwork practice.
I am grateful for the knowledge and experiences Daniel shared during my training. The intensive, spiritually focused training and certification as a Breathwork Facilitator became a meaningful part of my personal journey.
It connects with the meaning of my spiritual name “DASS PAVAN”, given to me as a child: the carrier of the breath of life.
“For me, working as a Breathwork facilitator means following my inner calling and living my life’s purpose.” — Kaja
