My Why

Deutsch · English · About Kaja

I am a “23” — the number of my birthday. In numerology, it is associated with someone devoted to spiritual development, eager to learn and curious about life. I recognise much of myself in this image.

Even as a child, I wanted to get to the heart of things. I searched for deeper meanings and what lies behind events and the ups and downs of human life. During an intense conversation about his life, a friend once said: “Kaja, this conversation feels so different. You begin asking questions where other people usually stop.”

This curiosity and love of learning explain much of my love for what I offer through The Spirit Bliss. Looking back, I think I have accompanied people all my life.

The women who shaped me

It began in my beloved extended family, with its layered relationships and the subjects that lay beneath the surface and needed attention.

My grandmother and her six sisters brought a rich spiritual heritage. Tarot, inherited rituals and ideas of protection and healing were part of their world. Here, I learned about family traditions, beliefs and the spiritual lives of these strong women. I also became aware of the special strength, gifts and responsibility they associated with being a woman.

As the first woman of the third generation, I grew up with a special role in a family shaped by strong, wise women.

My birth mother, the first woman of the second generation, is an extraordinary example to me of strength, discipline, self-determination and resilience. When she filed for divorce in 1977, it was a liberation for her and me, alongside an experience of society’s judgements. I also remember my first inner images during that time, which I experienced as memories of past lives.

My bonus mother came into my life as my father’s second wife when I was six. She was a student of Yogi Bhajan, a wonderful hippie woman and a seeker herself. She and my father shared enthusiasm for Osho and his ideas. She became my next important female companion, my first yoga teacher and a role model. Through her, I encountered the spiritual richness of Kundalini Yoga and the varied traditions of yoga and Ayurveda.

A life between worlds

I grew up between Germany and American island life, surrounded by yogis, spiritual teachers, hippies and people searching for life’s mysteries and deeper meanings. My work today feels like a natural continuation of this path.

Other girls went to ballet, sports, riding or art classes. I encountered Reiki, Silva Mind Control, meditation, mantra recitation, astrology and much more.

At the time, it was both a gift and a challenge. I often longed to be a “normal” girl with a “normal” family. Today, that word means little to me. I have learned to embrace my own path and its particular qualities.

My path into supporting others

In my twenties, I already understood myself above all as a spirit and a heart-centred soul. I wanted to make a difference and one day leave the world a little brighter.

I studied and became a teacher. Later, I added foundations in psychology and a qualification as an adviser. I began supporting teachers, students and their families. Alongside my work in public schools, I taught yoga and shared spiritual practices. A colourful, rich working life developed.

Travel, yoga and spirituality accompanied my private life. Over the years, my inner calling grew clearer as my own development deepened.

Then, different life circumstances and almost unbearable pain changed my familiar path with great force. The pandemic intensified much of it. Sandstorms, hurricanes, earthquakes, tsunamis, fire — these images describe how the challenges felt to me.

I had to learn to surrender to life. One sentence accompanied me: “This too shall pass.”

What carries me today

Today, I meet my life’s purpose with dignity, sincerity and a deeper understanding of the many questions of why and how.

People have repeatedly come to me for guidance. Even people I barely knew opened up and shared their life stories. Being able to accompany their reflection, growth and discovery of their own answers has filled me with gratitude and meaning.

Through this shared process, I wish to encourage people to notice their own inner calling and recognise their possibilities. I share the holistic tools that have accompanied me since childhood: yoga, breathwork and spirituality, together with my experiences as a daughter, sister, mother, teacher, lover and woman.

In this way, I follow my purpose, my calling and what fulfils my spirit. I try to live what I wish to share: Give room to what truly makes your spirit happy. And, step by step, let go of what unnecessarily weighs you down.

A fulfilled life can take shape in your own unique way.

Blisses & Blessings,
Kaja
